The Crazy Norwegian – Port Orford, Oregon

Just the name of this restaurant made me want to eat here, regardless what they serve.  We got the opportunity, and it was great.  I asked if the Norwegian was working, and the waitress informed me that he died about 20 years ago, and that there have been two owners since and that the current owner is a woman, and not Norwegian.  Gosh – that’s disappointing!  But whatever, we decided to eat anyway – and I’m glad we did.  The specialty here is fish and chips, so of course, I tried it.  Delicious, fresh cod, with fries, and a wonderful cole slaw.  Tim and I shared a bowl of chowder, chock full of clams.  And the pièce de resistance?  A slice of razzleberry (raspberry and marionberry) pie.  Major yum!  Definitely worth a stop.
