Django’s Rough Bar – Noyo Harbor – Fort Bragg , CA

The Rough Bar was anything but.  The new owner, Dusty, just opened the place one month ago. As a testament to the food, the inside seating area was full, and we had to sit at the bar.  The menu displayed a decent number of offerings.  We were hungry, so we tried and shared a number of items.  Oysters on the half-shell were cold, sweet, and delicious.  A New England Chowder, and a Mushroom Chowder were next.  Both were made from scratch, hot, and delicious.  Tim had Dungeness Crab Cakes, and I had a burger with chile pepper, avocado, bacon, carmelized onions, and cheddar cheese – WOW!  It was delish.  This is wine and beer only – no liquor.  I would most definitely go back again. (Note:  I wish everyone on the west coast could taste a Maryland Blue Crab crab cake – enough said)
