SMILEY CREEK LODGE & RV PARK

June, 2016

SMILEY CREEK LODGE  & RV PARK – 16546 ID-75 –  Ketchum, Idaho

Cleanliness – 5/10 – The restrooms and showers were clean enough, but really need a makeover.  There are shower curtains used as doors on the bathroom stalls.

WiFi -1/10 – This is particularly bad service.  No phone service at all.  WiFi does not reach campsites.  You must go out of your rig and sit in front of he building.  Since they close at 8pm, that means you sit outside.

Amenities – 3/10 – Restrooms, showers, small grocery store,  and a cafe  that serves pretty good food.

Location –  9/10 – Directly on route 75, but not noisy.  Mountains surround the campground, and you can see them from some sites.

Sites – 2/10 – Dirt and grass, poorly maintained, uneven.  Some sites have the power pack on the opposite side from most  rigs – so you need extra long cords.

Pet Friendly – 3/10 – no one seems to be watching.

This campground has the potential to be truly wonderful.  It is a diamond in the rough.  It doesn’t seem to get any TLC.  Dandelions were everywhere, potholes in the dirt, etc.

Bonus:  This was the freshest, clearest, cleanest water we have ever had in a campground anywhere.
