Gulf Islands National Seashore – 1400 Fort Pickens Rd – Pensacola, FL

All I can say about this place is Wow – Wow – Wow!  This is a gorgeous place.  It is on a strip of land in a national seashore, in Pensacola Beach Florida.  You can see the Gulf on one side, and Pensacola Bay on the other – often at the same time.  If you want to stay here, I suggest reservations.  We were lucky to stay three nights, but could not extend, as they were full.  I expect in the summer it would be almost impossible to walk-in.

Cleanliness -10/10 – the restrooms are clean and cared for, as is the rest of the campground.

WiFi – None – but there is  good phone service.

Amenities – Water, Electric, a dump-out station, a camp store, beaches forever.

Location – 10/10 – Undeveloped, pristine national park – just off of Pensacola Beach.

Site – 5/10 – No water views –  Fairly spacious, gravel, subject to flooding.

Pet Friendly – 5/10 – There is no place for them to play.  Must be leashed at all times.  People did have pets – they and their humans seemed happy with the situation.

I would give this park an overall 10/10 because of the beauty, and I will most certainly return.
