COCOPAH RV AND GOLF RESORT  – 6800 S Strand Ave –  Yuma, AZ 85364

We stayed at this resort prior to heading to Quartzite for a few days.  We liked it so much, we returned after Quartzite for a week. Its a great place to re-energize, shop, and get ready for the next stretch of travel.

Cleanliness -10/10 – Everything is immaculate, including rest rooms and common areas.

WiFi – 1/10 – That’s a pretty low score.  They say they have WiFi, but you have to be close to the router.  No one seems to know where that is exactly.  Of the nine nights we spent, at various times, we were never able to access the internet.  The only reason I gave it a score of 1, and not 0, is because you can go to the library for a hotspot.  And in the library, there is only one shelf/desk, that is the “hotspot”, and that too is s-l-o-w.  This is 2016  – get with the program!

Amenities – 10/10 – Excellent.  There is always something going on.  A pool, hot tub, golf course, 2 restaurants, library, craft room, potlucks, and organized parties and entertainment – if you like that sort of thing.

Location – 8/10 -It is a little out of town on the Cocopah Tribe Indian Reservation, but well worth the travel time.  It’s in the middle of farmland, and it’s just beautiful.

Site -8/10 – Large gravel site with a concrete pad for your table.  Dedicated parking spot for your vehicle.  We overlooked part of the golf course, which is good and bad.  The good – it’s pretty.  The bad –  many rigs had a tall screen in font of them so they wouldn’t be damaged by golf balls.

Pets – 10/10- We spoke with a man who comes every year from Canada.  He said he and his wife love it, but they also chose it for their dog.  There are 3 acres (yep – three) of unleashed dog park.  Nuff’ said.

We would definitely come here again.
